There isn't much that can make you want to explode more than the thought of Jenny McCarthy and Jenna Jameson fooling around with each other. Yikes... the thought alone gives me a mild heart-attack. Yet they both claim it did indeed happen.
So, I didn't go home. I'm now at my very frequent stop in Mill Hall, PA. Exit 173 off of I-80 in Pennsylvania. It's actually quite beautiful here... with green hills surrounding the little valley they truck stops are situated in. And it has that delicious mountain coolness that has been difficult to find anywhere in the country lately. In fact, I was reaching for my fleece blanket around the middle of the night because it was getting downright chilly. I woke up and got out of the truck at about 7am and it was still refreshingly cool. And to make matters even better, nobody near me was running their trucks overnight which made for a quiet, peaceful night's sleep.
Anyhow, I am not moving for another 24 hours. Truck drivers can reset their accumulated working hours by taking a consecutive 34 hour period off duty. Had I actually gone home I wouldn't have had enough time to be able to do this, which is why I decided to forget about it. At least this way I'll start my Sunday drive with 0 hours on the books and that will make for an easy week.
I'm thinking about going to see a movie while I'm here but I'm not really familliar enough with the area to know where to go. Google Maps to the rescue I guess! My little sister really wants to see "Talledega Nights" -WITH- me. I'd LIKE to see "Miami Vice" instead then. Anyone who's read my journal for a while will know I'm a huge fan of the 80's television series. But according to the search I just did, it isn't showing at the closest theater to here. My other choices would be "Barnyard" and "World Trade Center". I have no particular interest in seeing the latter... and my reasons are more or less reflected in Mqx's blog. Dilemma.
I got an interesting offer via email lately. No... not the usual penis enlargement promises (I'm just fine in that department thank you). This email was from the game developer Turbine. Among other things, they are the people responsible for the not-yet-released game "Lord of the Rings Online". Obviously based on the books of JRR Tolkien. The email offers me (and other Boston and Providence area gamers) the chance to come to their development studio for some play testing and discussion. It's a very cool opportunity to get a hands-on experience with a product the public has not yet tried. The big question is can I get the time off necessary to participate. The session is a week from this Monday and Tuesday. I assume both days. I'm going to call up my dispatcher today and see what can be done. Sure it is just a video game but cool opportunities like this don't come along all that often. I've very frequently participated in game beta-testing, but this is much cooler than that. It's there AT the company studios.
I'm overdue for a doctor's appointment too so perhaps I could possibly squeeze that in for the same days. I'm dragging my feet about going though because I'd lost 12 pounds for my last visit and I'm pretty sure I've now regained them back. So she'll give me hell about that...

I actually might end up seeing it in the theater, only because I'm one of those kind movie snobs that like huge effects on the big screen. Like, the cranked up Dolby stereo will make up for the lack of passion otherwise.
