Through an odd series of events, I am home for a very quick layover. After I made my pickup this morning in West Groton, Mass. I got a call that another driver in the area was broken-down enroute to his delivery. I was the closest one to him. I ended up having to go drop my loaded trailer at one of the very few truck stops in New England and go get his. He'd broken down on I-95 in the middle of Connecticut. The delivery had to be made in Bristol, Rhode Island before 3pm. I got there almost on time... but everyone but one person had already gone home for the day anyhow. So I dropped the trailer and I'll return in the morning to get it unloaded. Then I'll have to head back down to where I made the swap and get my original trailer again. The delivery is very close to where my company's HQ is so I will also be providing taxi service to the driver who broke down. Apparantly his truck will take a long time to fix so he's just going to go get another one.
I don't really like sharing my truck, honestly. It's hard enough for one person to live in such a small space let alone two. But I can survive it for 900 or so miles and one night.
Anyhow... it is friggin hot in Providence (as is much of the country lately). I don't have an air conditioner near my bed so I'm actually thinking about sleeping in my truck. Might go see a movie perhaps... but after a shower, change of clothes, and something to eat. I'm sort of in the mood for Tortilla Flats.
Kiora sent me some pictures a while back. Fantastic shots. Well, today was the first time I'd come by the house since she sent them so I'm just "getting" them today. Thanks so much, they're beautiful.
I got a nice electric razor. I tried using one about a decade ago but I gave up on it after a week. I know that you've got to give yourself time to adjust to the new method... so this time around I'm actually going to do that and stick with it for a good month before I make up my mind about it.

It's been hotter than two hells here all week long...triple digits and the heat index reached 113 yesterday....this stuff is enough to kill me I swear.
