I'll talk about "The DaVinci Code" tomorrow after I let it stew overnight.
Saw the preview for the new James Bond movie. Definitely the most macho Bond ever, in that he's cut and defined much more than any previous actor in the role. Personally I think that Pierce Brosnan was shown the door much too early... quite the opposite of Roger Moore who was making Bond films far after he was obviously in the "old man" category. But Casino Royale certainly piques my interest. I hope blonde Bond Daniel Craig doesn't suck ass.
Also saw the preview for World Trade Center. Now... here is a movie that you knew had to come sooner or later. I am not much of a Nicholas Cage fan. Not at all, really. So once again here's a movie that I truly hope does not suck. It would be a travesty for a film on this topic to be less than amazing.
It'll be a financial success regardless. But I reallly hope it is a movie worthy of the fortunateness it shall have.
Three fuckin' SG friends gone grey now. WTF? Granted two things: (a) I don't spend a ton of time going around the SG forums and groups making new connections so my friends list stays (perhaps understandably) lean. And (b) I've kept Jill mostly out of nostalgia because I know leaving wasn't really her choice. That's always seemed quite a shame to me. I've kept others around thinking perhaps they let their subscription lapse but would re-subscribe once they got a few more bucks in their pocket. But then again... maybe not. I dunno. Feh.
