I woke up in a Soho doorway
A policeman knew my name
He said "You can go sleep at home tonight
If you can get up and walk away"
I staggered back to the underground
And the breeze blew back my hair
I remember throwin' punches around
And preachin' from my chair
"Who Are You" - The Who

Not at cool as my SIRIUS satellite radio... but still pretty cool.
Yaknow... 4 people on my friend's list and one on my favorite SG list are inactive. Heck, one of the inactive friends IS a (former) SG. Okay okay... so my level of participation here has a lot to do with having a small friend's list. Despite having been a member for like a year and a half now, I don't browse the forums very much, let alone contribute. Don't get me wrong... they're swell. It's just a matter of how to spend my time I guess. I already belong to a couple of online gaming communities, then I'm tracking trucker info and news, then I'm talking to family and friends... that isn't to mention the 10+ hours a day I typically work. There's only so much time to devote to the SG website I tell you!
Thus, I "meet" a handful of people that I can generally keep up with. There are actually a few (former) SGs that are now inactive that I'd love to put on my favorites list but... in many ways it'd be a bit depressing to do so. Sometimes I wonder why their relationship with the website was severed. I'm sure it's sometimes their choice, and sometimes not. But of course the reasons will always remain a mystery to me as I'm merely an outsider with an appreciation for the outer and inner beauty they have.
Hmm. I may actually spend a bit of time reflecting why I choose the favorites I do. Sure, their relative attractiveness to me has a lot to do with it, but it isn't all that simple. I'll explore that more in another entry I think.
Eli OUT.

I can't explain in English very well, I do not use polaroid film for the projects I'm writing about, the young people or the elderly home, that's probably black and white real film. Not polaroid. I like polaroids for lots of reasons, there are a few really bad ones though but also some that I think take pretty rad pictures. I like that there are almost no time from when you take the pictures till it's done, and it is what it is. So much is about "fixing" a picture after it's taken, or wait till it's developed, I just like that about polaroids. And that there are only one exemplar of it of course. It can be used for special things...

and also, i think the newest digital cameras sometimes make too perfect pictures, it just look.. weird to me and not very artistic either. sometimes a "lack of quality" makes me like a picture more. maybe sounds crazy but thats the way it is. like the lomo cameras, they can take much more dreamy pictures than most super cameras at least from all the pictures i've ever seen. it's a feeling about a picture, not the "quality-quality"
