Hmmm... Where to go??
I managed to rack up enough frequent flyer miles for a free International FIRST Class ticket to just about anywhere in the world. But, I haven't quite been able to decide where to go. Therefore, I'm willing to take suggestions. However, I'm in no hurry considering I have done all my travels for this year. So wherever I go, it will be at least a full year from now before I actually depart, given that I have to save up my annual leave hours &, more importantly, money.
I have narrowed down the choices though & produced some pros & cons for each.
China:
Pros: Well, there is the Great wall...
Would be awesome to ride a motorcycle down that! lol
And the Forbidden city...
Both of which are next to Beijing, which I can get a non-stop flight from here to. And since I like Chinese food, I shouldn't have too much trouble finding something I like. Though its likely I'd be eating dog or cat without even knowing it.
Cons:
1. I'm likely to end up eating Dog or Cat, which would surely traumatize me.
2. I don't speak Chinese and I can't even make out what their signs say given that they use a whole different way of writing than western languages. At least when I was in Mexico, or Canada (where Quebec's road signs were all in French), even though I didn't understand the language, I could still make out the gist of what the traffic signs were saying & was able to navigate. That would prove more of a challenge in China, or any other Asian country.
3. From what I'm told, Beijing's air quality makes Los Angeles look like some mountain town in Montana. And its retarded crowded over there.
New Zealand...
Pros:
1. No Language barrier
2. Home of Middle Earth (you only give a shit if you're a Lord of the Rings fan)
"And if you look on the right, folks, you'll see Ministrith, the capital of Gondor."
As well as Hobbiton...
Its Frodo's home town & its STILL THERE!!
3. Lots of wide open spaces to rent a car & go on a serious road trip & see some really spectacular scenery. Just like last time.
Cons:
1. I did already see it on my last big trip. But that was just the South Island, not the North island.
Tahiti:
Pros:
1. Thats where Bora Bora is at...
I'd LOVE to stay on one of those!
2. Nice relaxing time to just chill at the beach, go snorkeling, & overall relaxation
Cons:
Aside from those awesome water bungalows, there is nothing in Tahiti that can't be found in most of the Caribbean islands, which are alot closer & cheaper to get to, & thus, wont be necessary to use my miles to get there.
Rio De Janeiro
Pros:
The beaches, the Babes, the nightlife, Carnival, & the big ass Jesus statue..
Cons:
Insane Crime rate...
And
Mother Russia!!
Pros:
1. The Historical sites such as Red Square, the Kremlin, Kursk & Stalingrad (where the two biggest battles in ALL HUMAN HISTORY took place) as well as the funny looking cathedral...
It looks like a candy & Ice Cream factory...
2. The women...
3. & the Vodka..
Cons:
I don't know DICK of russian, nor can I make send of their street signs because they use a totally different alphabet. Also I heard its hard to get a visa to be allowed in...
Hmmm.... Decisions decisions...
