I will post my 3 day vacation in parts, because I am posting lots of pics.

My Trip:
Day One
I made it to the airport with time to spare. I parked in long term parking for the first time ever, so the idea of catching the shuttle made me a bit more anxious than usual. But, all went well. They made me take off my shoes at the security checkpoint. Grr. I dont wear sneakers often, but I thought I would to travel, so it was a pain in the ass to deal with that. Luckily, I had my sub to handle all of my luggage.
The plane ride had major turbulence, but as we got closer to landing, and as the sun came up, I forgot all about my fear. Below was the most beautiful countryside I have ever seen. I thought it would be green, but wow, Ive never seen anything like this. I was immediately enchanted and felt very relaxed. Just what I hoped for my vacation. Yay!
Apparently, everyone in Oregon is stress free. The first thing I saw was a man playing golf in the airport. Too funny! And the airport was practically empty! All the people must be kicking back somewhere enjoying drinks or something. I found my rental car with no problem, and got an upgrade for free to boot! See what happens when I flirt? LOL.
I was expecting the 3 hour drive from Portland to Newport to annoy the hell out of me, but oh no! It was spectacular! See?
As we arrived in Newport, we turned onto the road to our hotel and saw this. (It was so breathtaking in person, I actually forgot to take my own pics, so I got these off the net. Dumb melol.)
Wow! It was gorgeous.
After we checked into the hotel, I took a nap. The wedding was not until 7pm and I was so tired from being up so early. I got up in time to get ready and we went the few blocks away it was to the Oregon Coast Aquarium, where the wedding was to be held. It was so pretty there! And what a great idea to have it among the sea life. It made it feel even more special.
Here is the wedding as it happened. Its funny to see all the empty chairs. People were all over the place, including me, trying to take pics of the event.
This was next to my dinner table! Wow!
After much drinking and dancing, and a bit of cake,
I really needed to get a good nights sleep! I wanted to explore the tide pools and walk around town the next day and really get my vacation started.
Yay for fun, and boy did I ever need it!
