"Song To The Siren"
Long afloat on shipless oceans
I did all my best to smile
'Til your singing eyes and fingers
Drew me loving to your isle
And you sang, "Sail to me, sail to me,
Let me enfold you,
Here I am, here I am
Waiting to hold you"
Did I dream you dreamed about me?
Were you hare when I was fox?
Now my foolish boat is leaning
Broken lovelorn on your rocks
For you sing, "Touch me not, touch me not,
come back tomorrow: O my heart,
O my heart shies from the sorrow"
I am puzzled as the newborn child
I am troubled at the tide:
Should I stand amid the breakers?
Should I lie with death my bride?
Hear me sing, "Swim to me, swim to me,
Let me enfold you,
Here I am, Here I am,
Waiting to hold you"

This is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. It captures my soul and expresses my heart better than I ever could.
Where are MY words? I feel them at the very edge of myself, waiting to spill over onto welcoming blank paper, but I hesitate. I am about to burst with my new Self and I seem to want permission to let her out. As I have said before, for all the strength, understanding and logic I posess, I am also a human being with the insecurities and fears that come along with that.
Please be patient with my reactions and gentle with my crumbling walls. I am also being reborn in this thing we do. It is exhilarating, comfortable, terrifying and serene.
P.S. I like you.
