(Posted in the Kitties Group, but I feel like I should post it here too.)
My kitty, Beau, is so old. He's had a great life with me and I with him. He is acting really weird today. I've been dealing with health issues for a few years now (due to old age) and I am scared to say that it may be getting near the time to have him put to rest.
I don't want to make the wrong decision. Or make the right decision at the wrong time. I made an appt. to see our Vet tomorrow very early in the morning. I dread to hear what she may say. I trust her opinion 110% though, so if she thinks it's time, I will do what needs to be done.
I've had Beau 16 years, since he was a tiny ball of puffy fuzz. He grew to be what I call "my big beefy boy" and then more recently, "my sweet old drag queen". His love and companionship has saved my life more than once during major depressions I've gone through.
He is so sweet and lovey. He annoys me with his love in the most wonderful way possible. I just wanted to share about him and what's going on in case I come back in here freaking out. I feel like my heart is breaking. I cannot imagine being without him in my life.
Thanks for taking the time to read all this.
Here are some Beau pics.
His favorite squishy pillows. He always starts on the top of the stack and slowly sinks down into them.
...Then I see him, he knows it, and he gets very embarrassed. "I meant to lay like this, Mommy!"
And just for fun, here is a pic of two outta six of my fur family (plus boyfriend, ashen_crib) after a visit to the Vet. I swear, our babies alone must pay her morgage!
