So, the holidays are over.
Christmas was nice and mellow. We didnt really do anything.
New Years Eve itself was also mellow. We stayed home and watched the Twilight Zone Marathon on the Sci-Fi channel.
But, we celebrated in style on Dec. 30th. I got tickets to
Beach Blanket Babylon and boy, was that fun! We drove up to SF during loads of rain, which had me freaking out like a crazy person. I appreciate that Brian drove. I tried to keep my anxious mouth shut so I wouldnt drive him nuts, and I think I did an okay job of it.
We actually found a parking garage with little trouble, and then walked a few blocks in the pouring rain to a little Italian Caf for dinner before the show. (I got tix for the 10pm show, so we had lots of time to kill.) We had a kick-ass dinner. I think I am in love with brown butter and sage anything!
We had decent seats for the show in the front area of the club. It was fun to see all of the silly, over the top goodness. It also reminded me about how much I love to sing and wish I still did it (or at least practiced).
Our drive home scared the crap outta me. It was raining sideways and I couldnt see but a few feet in front of us. Again, thanks Brian for diving cuz I wouldve killed us.
All in all, it was a great time. Yay!
