I cannot, for the life of me, find a plain blue hooded sweatshirt (preferably one without a zipper).
I've been wanting to make a Sonic the Hedgehog hoodie for nearly two years now and I need the blue hoodie to start with.
I'm going to use a semi sturdy wire, or opposable tubing in the drawstring to form Sonic's "widow's peak." I'm going to carve spikes out of light foam insulation, and cover them in blue fabric. Hopefully I can put a zipper on the inside so I can take the foam out and wash the hoodie if need be (drycleaning would almost certainly melt the foam). The tail will just be a small upturned spike. The ears will probably look just like cat ears on those hoodies.
Mom wants me to help clean this weekend. I'm hoping that I can clean on Sunday so that I can go out on Saturday morning. I want to walk through Fells Point in the early morning like I used to do when I was just a little gutter rat. I remember sleeping in the doorway of the food market, hardly a block from the waterfront. It was the middle of the summer, but it was freezing cold. I guess the water would get pretty damn cold at night. But it was fun. I remember the smell of the harbor mixed with the freshly brewed coffee and the bakery down the street. Tres sw33t.

I think what bugs me is not really thinking a band is cool or uncool...it's thinking people are cool or uncool for listening to certain bands.
