I worked today, and I got a job.
On Monday I start training at the homeless shelter.
The interview was yesterday but I didn't think I got the job.
At the end they asked me if I would be available from the 12th-30th, which is when the training is. I told them I would be gone from the 28th-2nd. Fortunately they told me that everyone who was interviewed had "less then spectacular schedules for those days", so they decided to just work around it as best as they can.
The interview was a breeze, and a good time. It was me and 5 people who worked there. They asked me a series of 15 questions, they would go around the table and take turns asking the questions, and I would wax philosophically and poetically about what it means to be on a team, and what an example of a time where I was involved in a conflict.
Going to school at Naropa prepared me for this sort of interview. In my religious studies classes(my minor) I would often times have a mid term and final Warrior's Exam instead of a written test. In the Warrior's Exam you are given one test question, and you answer it in front of the class. You don't know what question you get until it's your turn. These aren't short answer questions either, my last one we had 8 people in the class and we just got through it in 2 hours.
