I'm negative for TB, in case you were wondering.
I got Lagniappe in the mail this week. It is the Saddle Creek benefit for Hurricane Katrina Relief.
It has songs from Cursive, Maria Taylor and Andy Lemaster, Criteria, The Elected, Broken Spindles, Cocoon, Bright Eyes, The Faint, Orenda Fink, Mayday, Sorry About Dresden, Two Gallants, and The Good Life.
Maybe it's just because I'm an emo kid from the midwest, but I think that Saddle Creek puts out some of the best and most intelligent music being released today. This one is no exception. I like every single song on this disc.
"Ten Percent to the Ten Percent", which is on here, is probably my favorite Cursive song.
Jenny Lewis of Rilo Kiley sings backup on the Bright Eyes track, and that just makes me hot. I am the owner of the Bright Eyes group afterall.
edited to add:
Oh, and by some freak accident, the day after I got my CD in the mail, I got a second one. It was packaged by the same person, so I think it's just a mistake. I checked my bank statement, and I was only charged the one time. I think I might give it to my brother for his birthday, but I'm not sure how much he would appreciate it.
