Happy Daylight Savings Time....and yay for one more hour!
In celebration, and because I am not out dancing my ass off, here's a post about music.
What's Hot for Me Now:
Far East Movement - once you get over the almost overplayed tracks, the rest of the album really shows off their house/electro influence and roots. Freaking awesomeness. And only yours truly can truly issue the term "freaking awesomeness". I certify this message. FEM - She Owns the Night
Toro y Moi - the Causers of This album. Slower, chilled, ambient, downtempo, and served with a slice of chill. Smooth like a good vodka, makes you smile like Kemper's lovely boobs, and makes you want more like the Ink and Undies party. Talamak, Toro y Moi
PANTyRAID - and not just cause the name kicks Santa's unused balls. Glitchhop - or electro hop - meets ambient downtempo music. Makes me sigh in pleasure, just like the superbly marinated carne asada I just had several hours ago. Fucking makes me want more...love... love...love to the meat. Listen to this track: Beba
Walter Meego - because my newest friend on Facebook recommended it to me at this awesome party in South Central LA. I didn't die. But the cops came over and made us turn down the music, while I was spinning fire You Know You Love This Song...
*sigh*
And lastly but not least - Nujabes' album, Hydeout Productions' track - counting stars. Youtube it here. For me, it's the essence of trip-hop/downtempo. Something that just makes you wanna walk along the beach, listening, nodding your head, and loving life. Plus it has samples of Frank Sinatra or something similar.
Okay, I'm about to sleep so I can get what remains of my extra hour.
