Another weekend has come and gone and once again, I accomplished absolutely nothing. Someday soon I will figure out that my days off are a good time to get schoolwork done, eg. the paper due on Thursday that I have yet to start. Tomorrow I'll go to the library and start my research. Yeah, sure. I had a good weekend though. Friday night I met the crew after work and we rocked out at the Central. A buddy of mine that I hadn't seen in months also happened to be there, so I got to hang out with him. I also got an old friend back. The bass player from a band I used to play in hasn't spoken to me for about 4 years. He wasn't happy about the fact that we disbanded and started a new band without him, and has held a grudge about it for years. Anyways, he was also at the pub and the party ended up at his house after the bar closed. I ended up drinking and talking with him all night long, and amends were made without anyone having to compromise their position on the issues that kept us from being friends for nearly half a decade. It came down to the fact that no one cares anymore about whatever it was that caused the band breakup and subsequent rancor between us. No fake apologies about things we aren't really sorry about, just a mutual feeling that we were far better off as friends than enemies. It's nice having an old friend back. Last night I had Jay and Courtney over for dinner and then we went down to the SCH jam where I proceeded to drink way too much way too quickly and had to abandon the party at about midnight to go to bed. Oh well, can't party until the wee hours of the morn every night, I'll just have to try to make up for it tonight. I had some people ask me about where they could possibly find some of my old music. We used to have songs on mp3.com, but not anymore. This site http://www.newmusiccanada.com/genres/artist.cfm?mode=longBio&Band_Id=7531 has a link to a song, but it doesn't work on my computer, maybe it will on yours. Check it out and see if it works.
