I've asked this before and never gotten a straight answer, but I'm really curious what it takes to become pink or get SOTD. Is it about the number of likes on a set to get SOTD, or about the number of followers, or something altogether different?

@jonnybionic @weedfarmer Oh no worries! I just copied what is in the Girls Faqs to make it a little easier lol. I'm sorry it was so long but it does help I think. I agree wholeheartedly that there are plenty of girls on here that deserve to go pink and not saying that the ones who go insta pink don't deserve it, there have been some great sets regardless of time on the site. I am a big advocate for long time hopefuls that have been on this site and it really makes me happy when those girls finally have their dream come true. As a hopeful that can somewhat fall into the longtime hopeful category (though not nearly as long as some still very active ones), I can say that while I am happy to see hopefuls turn pink, it can be upsetting when you put everything into a set only to find out it has not been chosen. The good news is that sets that have been in Member Review for awhile can still be chosen (I believe one was 5 years old at one time and a most recent one was from 2018 or 2019). There are also some times where a massive pinking happens, most notably love a hopeful day. I know this was advertised last year with a discounted membership and hopefully, they will do it again with some longtime hopefuls finally pink. Sorry to ramble but I agree with both of you and the only thing I can say that I have seen help a little is to advocate for those hopefuls who you believe should be pink by writing blogs, spotlights showcasing their work, posting in threads where appropriate, etc. This helps with recognition and helps put them on or back on the radar. Sometimes these are showcased on the FP (but not always).

There is a lot of mystery about it
