Brief update:
I've been virtually pulling my hair out this past week.
Work's been insane. It was the end of a quarter AND an end of the month, so everyone and their mother has freight to ship, like yesterday. Add in about a quarter of our drivers getting "sick" just when spring hits. Then add in the fact that I was getting one of the laziest drivers we have most of the week. Then add the woman who called me an "ignorant cocksucker" because I wanted to send her freight on a small truck (since a tractor trailer wouldn't fit down her road...). Oh, and let's also not forget that one of my decisions to pick up questionable freight has now cost the company $10,000 in damages. Yeah, Friday was welcome this week.
Topping that, though, is the past week and a half. I haven't had my car. Long story short "someone" (kaff...kaff...dealership who doesn't want to claim responsibility) forgot to properly tighten (or over-tightened) the lug nuts on my front passenger tire. I was on my way into work....then I suddenly had three wheels. Fun. Should be getting it back, with all the repairs, mostly paid by my insurance company (so much for hoping for that safe driver discount!) early next week. I still find it ridiculous that I'm paying a $500 deductible for a car I just made my first payment on.
At least things with Nikki are good.
