I'm hanging in the Portland airport right now (they've added free wifi access since last year!) waiting for my flight home after another Christmas in Portland (well, Vancouver, Washington, actually, since my parents moved there a couple years ago... but it's just across the river). I think I've spent every Christmas here in the Portland area since I was born, except for two of them my first Christmas, when I was a month and a half old, and the Christmas I spent in Florida when I was 20.
It may be unbearably sappy to admit, but there's not much I'd rather do than hang out with my family. Holiday reunions don't come nearly often enough...

I agree completely. It's the easiest thing in the world to be a critic; actually doing something about the things you criticize is the key. I'm glad you had a good holiday. I enjoyed the time with my family as well, even though my mom tries to cajole me into moving home every time I visit.
