A few days ago I got back from St. Louis, where I spent almost a week hanging out with my best friend Justin for the holiday while his wife & kids were in California visiting relatives and doing the Disney thing. We almost went to Six Flags four days in a row, but there was a downpour every day -- complete with tornado warnings and some of the scariest lightning I've ever seen. So no theme parks for me... I guess I'll just have to head to theme park central in Orlando one of these days...

If you thought I was through with the unbearably cute photos after last time, I have a couple more here to give you a metaphorical toothache...

Every time I was using the computer at Justin's house and I leaned back in my chair, Justin's cat jumped on my chest and started nuzzling me:



Is it just me, or does the blur make it look like I have elephantitis of the hand? Or like I'm about to crush the cat's head or yank out its brain...? Just checking...

And here's another shot from the trip to visit my sister in mid-June. The photo may be blurry and grainy, but it's also about the most painfully adorable thing I've ever seen. My two-year-old nephew Kayin wearing a tiara and eating a waffle:
