Remember when the
sky burned cobalt
when the captives were
unshackled from actual
shackles not systemic
attempts to starve stomachs
remember 'what if?' ?
now it's 'what, when'
but then you remember
there was no sun that summer
and we often slept soundly
in a roundabout way
