i'm back and the trip was a success. the "reset" button was flipped in my head and i can look forward to - at least several weeks of - calm, content, satisfying inner peace... heh. we'll see if it sticks this time.
i drove about 2500 miles mostly speeding and no tickets!
i went from sacramento to los angeles, went to a club and stayed with a friend. went to breakfast at my old favorite spot in l.a. 'highland grounds.' saw the bass player from no doubt and had a chipotle scramble over sweet cornbread. delicious.
i made it to tuscon, az that night and proceeded to my favorite strip club. they had two for one drinks so i got blasted and found a hotel nearby. i drove south to patagonia, az that morning where i attended a workshop on self-healing (i'll go into detail if asked...) ate raw food, meditated, slept, etc.
friday, my girlfriend flew to tuscon, az. i picked her up at the airport and went to the grand canyon. we spent the rest of the weekend cruising around northern arizona, into utah and zion national park, and ended up in las vegas!
it was so great to not be wishing the hours away at work and enjoying the journey as much as the destination.
