My friend Sean beat me in Madden tonight. I know, yeah, he beat me in a dumb videogame. He's never beat me in Madden before. Ever. I always pick the Cowboys, while he picks a different team in each of his feeble attempts to beat me. McNabb? Sacked like crazy. Favre? Picked left and right. Rothlisberger? Please. Tonight was different, though. He picked the Cowboys also and made it a Cowboys vs. Cowboys match. He then proceeded to stomp me 28 to 0. Mmhmm, a shut out. Twenty-eight to zip. Nadda. I shall never hear the end of it.
Moving along to brighter things, I went down to NYC to visit my friend Brandi again. We got horribly lost in Williamsburg on Saturday. I suppose that is nothing new - we are horribly lost when it comes to directions. On Sunday we enjoyed a sudden thunderstorm while at the beach. The drive down and back kind of sucked this time, but she's fun to hang out with and the city is good times.
My friend Greg, my brother and I are going to see Dream Theater at Tower Theater on Friday. The week after that me and Greg are going to hit Mayhem festival over and Camden. It'll be nice to be out of work two Fridays in a row. I have off for a week of wonderful Microsoft Server 2003 classes after the shows, then a week of vacation. Yep, no talking to angry douchebags over the phone at work for 17 days. I don't have any plans for my week vacation yet, but I'm sure I can think of something.
Last week, with the help of some friends, I came to the conclusion that I normally toss away perfectly good, normal relationships for ones I know are not going to work. They say girls don't like nice guys, but I think the reverse rings true for me. You'd think I would learn from past mistakes, but I think it's hard wired into me in a bad way. I'm aware of it, but often make the same mistakes. I think I need actively work on it, but I have no idea how. I guess I shall figure it all out in time.
I just got a new laptop today. I really want to get my certifications done. I reallllllly hate studying in my apartment. This will force me to get out more and go to coffee shops or diners to study. That's what I did in college and I think that is why I have been slow at getting these tests knocked out. It really is hard to sit in here and attempt to get things done. Too many distractions, plus I like having people around while I am working. The side effect of having a laptop now is that I want to update my blog more often. Even if hardly anyone reads this boring shit it's still nice to write about from time to time.
