I think I'm gonna make a peach pie. We've been gifted with an excess of yummy yummy yummy peaches this year. We don't have a tree of our own but my girlfriend is the regular urban forager. She's an insect trapper for the alameda county and she's always getting bags and bags of fruit from friendly home-owners who have just too much fruit from their lovely trees.

Last year we had buckets of persimmons. . . but it's not persimmon season yet, so right now we're loaded with peaches!

In other news, I'll be selling at Feria Urbana on August 3rd. It's a Friday, from 5 to 9pm at the Oakland Museum. The event is a lot of fun, a younger, funkier crowd than most arts and crafts fairs tend to be. I attended the last one as a customer and was amazed by some of the beautiful jewelry. So I'll be there selling pieces like these:
