when people say that they don't like you because of a difference in opinion, does that bother you? especailly if they didn't even stick around for you to explain yourself? what if you had valid reasons for your opinion? what if the opinion of the person who disagrees with you has only an opinion driven by emotion and lack of reason, and your opinion is backed up by scientific knowledge and logic?
so you're vegan. you don't support the meat industry or animal testing or evil corperations. but wait... wasn't that a 'proctor and gamble' hair product in your bathroom? what about your pets food? i bet thats vegan too, right? considering most pet food consisits of tainted meat from meat-packaging plants, all the bile shit they don't even put into spam, let alone old dairy cows, old horses, and sick animals not fit for human consumption. yes... vegan pet food indeed.
(how anyone who has pets can say they are all about animal rights still confuses me.)
you say that hunting deer is evil... i say that deer dying from disease and starvation is worse. sure, hunting (in most cases) is not humane and i would only call it a sport if the deer could shoot back, but are you willing to look at the issue from the other side? tags for hunting deer in season are anywhere from 150-300 notes. have you looked deeply enough in the issue to know where that money goes? programs for preserving habitat, tagging and studying, pay for forestry service officials who are there to arrest the hunters who break the rules. i'm not talking poaching endangered species people... i'm talking population control.
you say that the animals are suffering (from hunting or from your hair products?) . life is constant suffering and you will be alot happier when you realize that.
back to evil corperations for a second. you feel that you have done your part when you look at a product and since it has "no animal testing" logo, you purchase. well my dear, proctor and gamble is evil... evil to animals. alot of things you have in your home are subsidaries of large corperations you say that you don't support with your hard earned dollar. have you looked into your "beliefs" to be aware of this?
i know animals are completely innocent and some of us see ourselves as the voice for those who do not have one, but what about the treatment of humans? some people do not know how to have a voice either. what about the endangered amazon tribes being forced fromthier homes to provide US with cheap beef and lumber?what about abused children? what about the woman in bangladesh who make that 'disney' shirt on your back,eh?
shit... i could go on and on forever. i am in no way ever a poster child for activism or veganism. it is called a hypocratic truth. what i am saying is the truth, weither or not i choose to live by the knowledge i have acquired or not. call me a hypocric,
becuase i called myself one first. just the next time you try to spit knowlegde at me because it is the way you claim to live your life, know that i will call bullshit and laugh straight in your face.
sorry about this rant, everyone. sometimes i just get sick of people who have very "left" ideals being so closeminded. i also get sick of being told how to live my life and how others should as well, when the person screaming in your ear doesn't follow thier own advice. this was not directed at anyone inparticular, though an incident this week did entice me to write this. so... er...yea... if you don't like someone soley because they have a different opionion then you, it makes you just as bad as all the christian televangalists, corperate exectutives, republicans, faux feminists, and walmart employees you say you despise.
thanks again for choosing jolenes fast food... drive thru... come again

And as a addition to diseases as population control:
Why do people think there is AIDS? The main way of contracting it is through procreation...isn't that telling us something? Stop having so many fucking children!!! And secondly, why are we trying to cure Cancer. I mean I totally sympathize with anyone who loses a person to the disease, and I think it is horrible, but we can't go around playing god and curing the disease that would kill us, if nothing else did. Did that make any sense?
And lastly, I love animals to no end, and esecially my cat, does anyone know of a good organic cat food? Just wondering....
Cheers Jolene!
