First up, before I left some one special decided to hang out in my bed:
Then it was driving time.
Nevada
Utah
I spent a night in Utah and had a beer, at 10.00pm. The service was slow, but then they warmed up to me and wouldn't leave me alone. Go figure.
Wyoming
Nebraska
Iowa
Okay, that is it for pictures posted here. It takes too damn long to do it. If you want to see them all, they're going on Facebook later. If you don't have access to me on Facebook but would like to see the pictures you should ask. If I'm not interested in knowing you on Facebook, don't worry I'll tell you
So, the job is fantastic. I'm very, very happy to be there. Couldn't have asked for more. Today we went out to lunch and it was fun. The only oddity was when we started to talk about places to go and things to do. Yes, many places I've never been were mentioned but the places that people liked the most outside of one I'm going to this Friday, I've already been too. A little bit weird, but whatever the guys I'm working with are interesting and fun.
Too add to that my commute is 10-12 minutes, and 20 in traffic. I appreciate that so much. Also, working from home is allowed, I was sent home today to work from home because I'm coughing up a storm.
Generally speaking life is going very well. There are some things that are difficult. I miss the parrots terribly right now, but they'll be in my life again in time. I also miss something else, but right now I'm okay with that.
Anyway I did say I would steal some sunshine from California but initially it was raining here when I arrived. Today however, today was glorious!
Oh, I forgot talk about my first night in Minneapolis. It involved a free shot of Mescal with the worm, more free drinks than I could stand, Hope Sandoval in the dark and drugged out, a man named Willie wearing a t-shirt that said "how do you like my willie?" and a list of bars, some of whose names I cannot remember.
And yes, ewww.
