Today I have been contemplating the new stuff in my life, good and bad.
Good things:
My sleeve is a little more filled out, just some shading on the mask, when I can get 400 together I'll be getting a full day on it so hopefully should be seeing some colour.
I've moved into my new flat in Leeds, which is a giant relief as I was getting really tired of living back home. Living in student halls again is a little bit weird but I think it will be a good thing. Now there are less chavs and potentially some very cool people to meet. The view is a little more interesting too...
Bad things:
I do feel a bit alienated now, moving out with people I don't know and my friends living in various different places that cost more money to get to is a little bit daunting. So far it seems I'm the only metalhead in this place and as far as I know I'm the only guy with long hair here! Nevertheless there's still a shitload of people to meet so I'm sure there's someone who wants to befriend a super-cool long haired drummer to start a band with
Still, with all these sporty jocks and mainstream fashion types, I find myself feeling really self-conscious which lost me quite a bit of sleep last night.
Student life makes you smoke too many cigarettes. My room is already awash with the smell of tobacco and incense, which I have been burning furiously in an attempt to make it feel a little more personalised in here.
Anyway, those are the main things playing on my mind, today I think I'll sit outside and read a while, maybe I'll meet some nice people. Failing that I can always practice drums all day thanks to my electric kit
(I'm not a left-handed drummer, the pic just came out mirrored )

Hurrah for Leeds! You at Met or the uni?
