Ok... so I have a ton of stuff to do at work over the next couple of weeks... but I am still taking the weekend off to go to Asheville and get a new tattoo! I think that this one will be my first color tattoo. I love the look of black and grey, but I'm thinking this one will just look better in color. I will ask Taylor (our artist- Taylor Cort- he is awesome) what he thinks. So anyway, one of my favorite quotes is by Mark Twain, "Forgiveness is the fragrance that the violet sheds on the heel that has crushed it". Now that's a lot of words to tattoo, so instead, I wanted to get a loose bouquet of wild violets tattooed on the back of my ankle, above my heel. I found a really pretty print that I like from one of those old botanical catalogs, and it has a great vintage look to it. I want muted colors, and Taylor will put his own spin on it too, which I love about him. So we are off Saturday to drive up to Asheville for some new ink!!! I'm so excited. John is having a second session to complete work on his H.R. Giger peice (he has "the birth machine" tattooed on his lower left leg), and it's going to look awesome when it is done!
I will post pics of the finished work.
