well just got back from warped "disneyland" tour and may I say it will be my last for a couple good reasons! i'll stick with the local scene for now....
i never witnessed the horror that was awaiting for me once i got there....
first off, TOO DAMN FUCKING EXPENSIVE!!! holy shit I never knew ice was a $1 along with $5 beers and $6 turkey legs! Shit, I'm a pretty poor punx myself and the ticket alone hit my wallet pretty hard, and when it's 90+ degrees you really don't want to spend the rest on water and what was up with the "Tour Water" they were selling in cans? Come on it's FREAKIN WATER!!!! I now look like something out of the movie "attack of the killer tomatoes"...
the amount of yuppies, barbie girls and jocks.... i haven't seen sooooo many 13-year olds wearing "Not my president" or "Fuck Bush" even though they don't have fucking clue why they're wearing it in the first place on top of that, not old enough to vote! the pits, where to the level ok, (the Casualties and Flogging Molly were the, I think, highlight bands of the festival !) however during the anti-flag show a group of three drunkin jocks screamed from the top of their lungs "Unity in the Scene", even though they wore Ambercrombie and Bitch shirts. I was not only surprised by these guys, but find out later that during the show, they start kicking the shit out of three kids next to them! Yeah fuckin' unity allright... grr....
on the plus side, i chilled with the casualties after the show a bit and i somehow got a vip pass necky-thing and got a shitload of my good friends into the show without waiting in the 50 mile line that stood outside invesco! I also visited the SG booth and got to meet Tegan!
all in all it was not what I expected, but atleast Good Charo-shit cancelled at the last minute... it would've been fun seeing that... oh yeah let me tell you...
well sorry for a dissapointing journal entry, but im sooo tired now im gonna catch some zzz's. hope everyone else's weekend/day was better! cheers...

I would have loved to of seen flogging Molly, but the last time I went to the show it blew... as you said.. too hot.. crowds of annoying peeeps, and high prices. Maybe next year I'll get up enough patience to go again.
