Have you ever had one those *exceptional* friends that you come across in your lifetime? I mean one of those people who you could consider a family member literally. I know everyone has that one best friend that they can seriously go to whenever you need a helping hand or ear. They're there for you no matter what.
Well, last night I chilled with one of those people that I consider family. His name is Sparky aka Matt and we've been best friends since I joined the Rocky scene (yes, I played Riff, surprise no?) back in '99 and he's just one of those *true* friends, if you know what I mean. He's gay, but the cool thing about him though, is that even though I know a lot of *supposed* gay people (I myself am not though I do tend to attract more of the same sex why? is beyond me) he actually is proud of what his preference is doesn't *pretend* just because it's the *rage now-a-days*. I dunno, last night me and my cousins chilled with him at his place and drank (mmm, the new Sprite Remix Berry flavour with Vodka or even Everclear, trust me the best screw drivers EVER
) and what-not, but it was the first time we've seen him since a rave we all went too back in February.
You see, everyone deals with a personal demon one-way or another (including me) and his happens to be Meth. However, the difference between him and other Meth kids I've known is that he has a lot stronger will power than the others, in that he can tell himself to quit because it's either hurting himself and/or the people that care for him. I dunno, I myself am not into the whole *drug* aspect since I've lost 13 friends to various types of drugs (yes 13, when your in the rave and punk scene you tend to) and it's actually scared for the good to actually think of doing it. But, I guess smoking and drinking are drugs too, so I can't really bitch at that because personally, I think smoking is the hardest to quit and I've actually have cut back significantly since I first started. Anyhoo, we chilled with him and this kid (I call everyone that sorry) is just fun to be around with. He can make your worst-most-shittyest-day one of the best days and with that I just want to say thanks Sparks! I posted the best pic. I have of him (holding the cigarette) and his brother Chris (on the right) below for those who are curious.
Anyhoo, this week has been going by so-so for me. I've been doing the whole bar scene, and my luck hasn't been the greatest on my love life. I've done the whole club scene but sadly the only two reasonable clubs here are only open Friday and Saturday since all the others are for people with $$$ and personally, I tend to find those people to be *fake* which is something I really despise, but hey, I'll keep my hopes up and try my luck again else where.
All in all, not too much except for work which sucks major ass, but hey at least i have my punk band so meh, it works. I'm also hitting the Distillers show next Wed. with a couple of my friends so that should be cool. Yeah, well I had better get some zzz's my sleep schedule doesn't include much of the sun anymore, but I'll post again this weekend.
Oh, and I'll be dyeing my mohawk a mixture of green and purple sometime next week I'll be updated my profile picture soon after and uploading some more pics.
Though, it sucks now driving whenever I put up my hawk it's freakin' huge. I seriously have to tilt my head.... grr... I look like I have one BIG head spasm... it sucks... oh well...
