I'm another step closer to cutting out of here.
I talked to Brew, who started Aging Punks Unanimous (the group I run on here) and we both think it has reached the end of it's line. It used to be the main reason I kept up with this site and why I would log in several times a day, but now I'm surprised when there's more than a couple of posts a month in there. The majority of the people I enjoyed hearing from in there have either quit the site or just stopped paying attention to the group. There are still some people who are enthusiatic about it, but it's just not what it was and it's not something that should be passed on again. Not on here, anyway. It's quite possible that I may bring it back to life somewhere else sometime down the line, but SG isn't the place for it anymore and I don't think it's the place for me either.
There are some amazing people that I've gotten to talk to somewhat because of this place and I am grateful for that, but it's become more difficult to communicate with them through here and more and more of them are disappearing all the time. If anyone would like to contact me, my email address is johnnythsaint@yahoo.com and I'm on Yahoo Messenger with that same profile. I'll still be here until the last week of August, but unless something changes drastically for the better before then, I won't be here after that. I may or may not even update this journal again, ever since the newest "upgrade" on here I've been lucky to even get a couple of comments which makes me think that hardly anybody is even reading this stuff anymore anyway and I assume that's due to the pain in the ass way it's now arranged.
Outside of this site, things are going pretty well for me. Work is good, my daughter is awesome, not too much else to report, but I'm feeling good.
If I end up never updating again, goodbye and know that I've enjoyed meeting (even if I never actually met you in person) quite a few people on here. I really hope that I can keep in touch with several of you and hope that at least a few of you will contact me.

Keep in touch Johnny! I'm working on cleaning up some Dead Boys DVD's on my new computer. Hopefully I can make the 50th generation videos a bit better! Thanx again for the concern about my nephew. It's good to know there are still a few of us old punks still alive and kicking.

No Problem Johnny! It may take a while to clean them up, I'm trying to improve the quality a bit- I found a program that may help, but I have to test it first before I plunk down any cash to buy the full version. Any fan of Stiv's is a friend of mine. If you haven't heard Cheetah Chrome's Live in Detroit it may bring back some of our younger days! And he and Richard Lloyd were brilliant on the Rocket from the Tombs Reunion. I have a few other rare punk videos as well.
