Fuck, the end of another year. I swear they keep picking up speed like boulders rolling downhill. Every year seems to be about half the length of the last one. A new year starts and I tell myself that I'm gonna do X number of things that year and then before I know it, there's about two days left and 3/4ths of my list is still unfinished or even unstarted. It still doesn't even seem real that it's been more than a year since I moved here. I feel like I'm still the new guy in town, but that's not even close to true anymore.
I'm not big on resolutions, at least not ones based around New Years. It doesn't make much sense to me to decide to do something just because of the date on the calendar. I do have a few things I plan to work on and goals I wanna meet, but I'm not gonna sit down tomorrow night and make some kind of proclamation. That has just always struck me as a hollow act. Especially since New Years resolutions are more or less expected to fail nowadays. Why promise to do something if you and everyone else don't really think you'll follow through on it because it's "just a New Years resolution"? I dunno, guess that's just my take on it.
One thing I would like is to start being more social. I tend to be kind of reclusive for the most part, even online, so I wanna motivate myself to interact more with people. Hell, even things like myspace where most people go to meet new people are just places I go to keep up on bands and maybe leave a small comment every once in a while to the very few actual people on my list. I have something like 225 "friends" on my list over there and I could count the ones that aren't bands or band related on one hand. OK, maybe two hands, but still.....Anyway, in that spirit I am asking those of you that read this to add me over there if you would. My link is http://www.myspace.com/th_saint and if you let me know who you are either here or in a message over there, I'll be sure to add you. Thanks.
Happy New Year or may this one Rest In Peace, if you'd rather.

A quote from Full Metal Jacket, to your brillian post to me:
"Jesus H. Christ, what have we here a fucking comedian!?"
You just cracked me the FUCK up hard, holy shit.
Good pot bit as well, fuck. Oh Lordy now....
Anyhooooooo thank you for the compliment on my hair!!!
Good for you with Archie rekindling, right?! Do you have cable and/or watch TVLAND? It's a channel that like, runs marathons of AITF, Good TImes, What's Happening, all the best shit from that time. Good call. TV is nothing today. Except Law & Order of course. If I can't have my racial humor, give me lawyers is all.
Thanks for the uberlong post too, I need more of those b/c I generally bomb everyone else's journal with like, diaries.
Sanford & Son.
Never forget the greats!
