Well, today begins week two of unemployment for me. Believe me, it's not terrible because I get to sleep in, but it does get extremely boring thereafter. I am so bored with life right now I have no idea what to do. Hanging out with the same people, doing the same things every weekend. It's just really getting on my nerves.

My band is going to start a management deal with a company called Thriving Records this week. It's $200 a month for a minimum of 3 months so we'll see what happens. It can't hurt. We really need promotion though in order to get anywhere. I am so fucking sick of hearing about the exact same Chicago bands getting all of the good shows. I wouldn't even consider them punk rock bands. They are all like Indie rock or something. The last great punk rock band to come out of Chicago was Alkaline Trio and that was a long ass time ago. It is becoming more apparent to me that if you aren't in the whole "Lucky Boys Confusion" clique, you aren't gonna ever be discovered. So I guess it's time to get some help from other sources. So there, I finally vented! I hate the Chicago music scene.

Other than that, things are the same. Boring as hell and redundant as hell. I need something new and exciting to happen real soon before I go insane!
