I just finished watching one of the last of the exploration of self projects in my intermedia class, and it was one of the worst done I've seen, and I didn't even consider it art. But at the same time it was one of the best because it gave the best insight into the presenter out of all the them, and so was great art. And she is really fucked. And it made me realize, that any of the presenters that gave any REAL insight into who they were, were completely fucked. And now obviously, its not that only the fucked people want to show who they really are... if anything they would want to hide it the most. And all the other projects just gave surface knowledge and their outward image; who they want to show to people, not who they are.

So you know, I've always thought this before but never really believed it until now. PEOPLE ARE INSANE. Everyone is. "Most people don't look like they're insane" you may say, or "hey, i'm not insane" might cross your mind. But the only people who do not come accross as insane are the ones so immerssed in denial and a fabricated sense of self built up upon consumerist indentity, and willfull ignorence that they don't see it themselves. But does that make the people hiding who they really are, who appear perfectly sane and respectable less or more fucked up? Either they're less fucked up and so they are then able to contain it while others cannot, or they're more fucked up and thus have a greater need to hide it. And if you are hiding the part of yourself that most needs care then you're not really growing or learning are you? I have a strong belief that we are here living life to learn how to live, for if we knew how to live we would have no need to be here. So whilst restraining yourself from learning are you really living? You're dead to the world, void of real emotion, dead. Which is a very valued asset in our society. I mean, we live in a society that clutches desperately to deciet, we won't elect someone if they are known to have been proven to have wierd sexual fetishes or have admitted to use drugs before. We would much rather they be lier and admit to nothing, and say they are perfect, we don't care who they really are, as long as they pretend to be something we find acceptable. The SG community is far removed from the genral populace however, and I'm sure some of you find this quality among the masses as upsetting as I do, so whats your opinion? Are the only people who are fucked in the head, by some wierd coincidence also the only people who I have ever had any actual clear picture of what is inside their head?

This brings to mind sum of Aristotle's Poetics that has been swimming in my head recently:
