I'm not usually the type of person to need to vent or complain, but this has been one of the toughest months I've ever had.
Never mind juggling full-time work and school, I've been repeatedly targeted by a local junkie treating my house like a piggybank; breaking into it whenever he needs some cash. Sadly, this person was once a close friend of mine until he got into pills, but when he contacted me, telling me that he was having suicidal thoughts, I felt compelled to listen to him. Apparently, this was a ploy to scope out my house. In the past month, he's broken a window, a door lock and frame, and has hit me for a laptop, iPod, a Gibson les paul, and about $600. Furthermore, I have received no help from local law enforcement. My repeated complaints have been met with profiling and apathy.
Instead of playing the victim, I'm viewing this as another sign that its time to move on. After spending this Christmas with my family one last time, I'll be selling my house and moving to Anchorage, Alaska
