@btflday777, the trail map says 1800 ft elevation gain, but we went off trail to get this pic. I'd say about 2000

@btflday777, I'd be surprised if the Cumberland area didn't have some awesome trails or climbs, and it's a hell of a lot closer than Alaska. Did you run into any trouble in Baltimore during the concert?

Oh, you are right, there are lots of great trails to hike in the area and for sure beautiful views too. The weather is getting better and I'm getting my mountain bike in shape to ride some of the trails too. The Steve Winwood concert got canceled. First the Lyric website said postponed and a day later it was canceled. There was a curfew for the day of the concert, starting 10pm, so it wouldn't have been possible to be on the streets. Not sure when I will have the next opportunity to see Steve Winwood.

@btflday777, not as far as I would have liked. My friends were ready to eat, so we called it quits after about 6 miles. I plan to go back and finish the remaining 20

@btflday777, I'm having a great time here, but Maryland is still my home state. I'd highly recommend visiting Alaska (it is breathtakingly beautiful), but Anchorage doesn't hold a candle to Charm City 

Keep having lots of fun in Alaska, enjoy those awesome mountains and looking forward to which peak you are going to scale next! I'll be in Charm City on Tuesday for a Steve Winwood concert at the Lyric.

I hooked up my vcr last week and was watching some old music videos and shows I had recorded. it sucked. ha!
