School starts back tomorrow. Maybe
this year I can keep refrain from a c
rush on any sorority girl who act like they like me. The one I had a crush
on is not going to be taking the
saturday class this semester so I
no longer have to worry about her.
Now that school is starting back I have to stop doing a lot of shit. First thing I have to do is stop staying up until three in the morning on the net. Nasty habit. Second, got to stop smoking. After six months of being smoke free, I started back on New Year's Eve. My friends are assholes. Anyways, smoking makes me stay up late. Can't have that shit. Third, got to stop drinking. I know my posts make me sound like an alchy, but I'm really not. More along the lines of a social drinker. The only times I ever get tore up is when I'm out with my jarhead buddies. So I have to quit drinking so I can concentrate on this semester. I'll
get my chance to drink in a few months anyways. Spring break. My friend Charlie is coming home from Arizona
so a few of us may go out to Atlanta or Athens, depending on what the shows look like in the areas.
Had drill this weekend. Came in ten minutes late saturday morning so I had to stay to FUCKING hours tonight doing bullshit work. First time I have ever been late since I have been at my unit. First sgts. can be dickheads sometimes.
Feel like promoting some shit right now. Any deftones fans who have not heard of my god's (chino) sideproject, teamsleep, should look into them. All
the websites for the band are currently down though. You can probably find the leaked un-mastered copy of their
album. One song is called kool-aid party. It's about that Rev. Jim Jones guy. Creepy song. Natalie Portman (working title) is another good song. One of the most beautiful songs that I have ever heard. Another good band that gets little play is dredg. Fucking awesome band. Of the Room is one of my favorites by them. This song has been known to get many hooked to
thier music. They are also a great
band to see live. Saw them at the 40 watts club in Athens, GA last May.
If your into instrumental shit, Rob Dougan is the way to go. One of his songs, Clubbed to Death, was used in The Matrix. It's the song you hear playing when Neo and Morpheus are walking through the street in the construct, you know the scene were
the agent pulls out the gun on Neo and Morpheus freezes the program. He
has a song in Reloaded too. Furious angels plays in the scene near the begining when Neo is kicking the
three upgraded agents arses. My favorite song by him would have to
be Nothing at All. It's a song that you want to listen to while just lying with your significant, not saying or doing anything, just enjoying the moment. That's it for the band promotions. I
