Got back this afternoon from Athens, GA (Best 5 1/2 hr drive of my life). The Dredg show kicked ass.
We got a room before the show and had a little time to kick back a few beers before heading over to the club. The first band to play was Strata. They are a great young band. I wish I had thought to buy their cd. After they finished we went back to the room to drink a few more beers. We came back about half way through the code seven show. Started buying beer at the bar. They did not ask me for any ID, which was strange considering they asked my friend who looks about 10 years older than me for ID. S.T.U.N. Came on after code seven. I did not think they were that bad. One of my friends did not like them at all. Their lead singer was very energetic. After they finished we went back to the room for a little while (Drank a few more beers). We got back right when Dredg was coming on. Good good they were great. There were quite a few people there who had never heard of them. After that show I am sure they are dedicated fans now. From what I understand, Dredg garners tons of new fans with every show that they play. My favorite piece that they played was probably Movement IV. As you can see from my crazed ramblings, I'm still in shock after their performance. Words can not describe it. If you have never seen Dredg live, do yourself a favor and catch the next show possible. I'm going to shut up now.
P.S. I hope that answered your question theleftbehind
. Also, be sure to buy something, you can get free Dredg stickers and a free DVD.
