Damn, just found out that Jared (sp?) Leto is in 30 Seconds to Mars.
Have fuckin drill this weekend. Starts tomorrow night. Have to go off and qualify with the rifle again and do the gas chamber again too. I heard earlier that someone in the media said that the military was just for poor people in the South, since their are no jobs here. I think that was a screwed up comment. That is not the case. Sure, their are some that fit that description, but I have only come across a couple. Most people in the South go in for the honor (Like my friend who only wanted the title of marine). I went in due to 9/11. Figured that I need to do something that may be useful to the country instead of sitting on my ass, going to school, and getting drunk in the mornings. Although the reserves can be a hassle (having to stop what you are doing at work just to go off and play warrior for a three day weekend), I'm still glad I did it. It practically forced me to grow up. I am more motivated to get started on things now, which will come in handy this fall when I start college.
While going through boot camp (Paris Island S.C. for East Coast peops, San Diego for west Coast Peops), MCT, and MOS school, you hear many of the new Marines talk of becoming an officer in the future. I was one of these, but as of lately I have decided against it. After I get my six years over I'm going to get the hell out. My dream is to live in Savanah. I feel in love with that city when I visited. I went there the weekend after I graduated boot camp. I love that city more than I loved New York, back when I visited it. I might change my mind then when it comes to where I want to live though. Another city that I loved was Palm Springs. I went there a few times when I was in MOS school (went to 29 Palms). The only city that I would love to visit now is New Orleans. That seams like it would be another great place to live in.
Just realised the time. Still have to back a few things. Feel like I'm writing to Mr. Henshaw (Read that book in 4th grade). I'm out.
