It was, indeed, an eventful weekend. Yesterday I met with the Curator of the Poe House who took me to see "Nevermore" (snotty review available upon request) and then to a nice dinner.
1) I'm clearly being enlisted as a sort of co-director of the Poe Celebrations
2) We're already confirmed to headline next year's Celebration, and I seem to have some latitude to decide what I want to do, if I want to do both acts of the show, etc., etc.
3) I'll be doing a series of Outreach Programs on "Poe Poe Poetry" and "Poe's Prose" over the Spring and Summer
4) It's very likely that I will be teaching part time next Fall...
I still need to figure out life, art and money in the meanwhile, but things feel pretty good right now (what a novelty!)

it's funny about the poem you sent... well, not funny and i'm sure this is the most obvious thing to state, but the best part is how you offer these lovely testaments to your feelings for the "you" and then continuously jerk them back. of course all of those things are unreasonable to offer someone, but that doesn't stop half the world from making vague and ridiculous promises. guess love can make us feel superhuman, too....
and thanks for the compliments, but i'll let my pups take all the credit.
