Here comes a mini rant. I really want to see the pictures of Rihanna the police took after she got beat. I am interested in this bizarre Chris Brown/Rihanna story and really it just makes me laugh a little. But here is my bone to pick. I cannot believe these righteous radio stations that are pulling Chris Brown's music. Chris Brown wasn't even charged with a crime, meanwhile other artists that are convicted felons, had gun, drug, assault and even murder charges maintain high radio airplay as long as they are musically relevant. The whole situation to me seems so hypocritical and ignorant.
I know it's wrong to hit chicks. It comes from the idea that they can't defend themselves from a stronger, larger male. There is truth in that idea and so I agree it is a vile act to attack or assault someone who doesn't have a fair chance to defend oneself. But then isn't it just as vile an act when some singer or rapper and two of his 350lb. bodyguards beat the hell out some guy at a club? Isn't it just as vile when a gun is pulled on someone because they really have a diminished capability of defending themselves from that kind of attack? There is a real inequality in how the high road is being applied. To someone like me looking from the outside in it just leaves me baffled and disturbed.
