All righty, here's the 411 on my tattoos. I am really into history, remember that because it will come back in a few minutes. The tat on my right arm was originaly just a godsmack tribal sun. I took it straight off the cd. Thinking it was rather lame later on I decided to change it up. I still liked the tribal sun and all so I just tweaked it up. The right arm (red, orange, and yellow tat) has a sun with a moon traped inside of it.
The left arm on my default pic is the direct oppostie. Its a moon with a tribal sun trapped inside with the constalation Orion in the center. So you have here sort of a dual between light and dark. Chaos and order...
My next tattoos will be passages out of the one of the Egyptian books of the dead. I will not say what the passages mean It's just for me Any way, the passage will be a full armband with a golden skarab locking it up underneath, the band will be red and orange with black writing for the right arm. The left will be blue and purple with black writing, also with a golden skarab underneath. I will have half sleeves by then.
I will then fill in any remaining skin with smoke and flames on my shoulders and arms. Now for the backpiece... I will be putting the eyes of Horus on my back behind my shoulders with a HUGE skarab underneath. The left eye will be blue with blue smoke pouring up towards the left shoulder, the eye itself will look like a stab wound. The right eye will be bright red, also with smoke coming out but the eye will not appear to be damaged.
Now for the history. Egyptian myths say that Horus, in a fight to avenge his fathers death had one eye stabbed out. Signifying day and night. The constalation is my favorite, and plays a big part in ancient Egypt. The eyes of Horus can be found in ancient tombs, they were meant to "protect" and the skarabs are meant to "overcome" coupled with the passages that I am getting.
Being a two time cancer survivor and overcoming all obstacles was the inspiration, Plus my love of history.
