Hey folks!
Its your friend Joe, checking in with all of you little fuck faces out here in the internet world! I just finished a 90 minute cardio/weight cutting session, and now Im starting my day here at work. Got to love running in a mother-loving garbage bag (sauna suit) to the point of dizziness! But none the less, it got me pumped... for what you say>? Well to write you all and tell you that I am doing Flippin fantastic!
As I am typing this to you all, my shit head doo doo face of a brother, Dan, is attempting to rock out on the speed bag, with decent success. Im super proud of him. He just moved back home with my family and I, and I can say that it is nice to have the whole lot of us back together. Its been nice goin home and watching a movie or playing a video game while keeping Ice on my injuries, opposed to simply keeping to myself and feeling disconnected!
Which brings me to a few little bullet points here... just a little up to dater, if you will. My fight is Saturday, in Columbus, OH. I CAN'T WAIT!!!! I am about 7-10 lbs out and weigh in is friday. I just cant wait to have this weight cut done. HOWEVER, I feel amazing. Im in the best shape of my life. HANDS DOWN! Yesterday I ran a mile in almost 7 minutes flat. Thats the fastest I have ever been. My strength is there and mentally..... Im soooo focused on this fight. Im ready... my god am I ready. Im not gonna settle for anything but to win. Ive lost damn near 25 lbs in 3 weeks to make weight. Every dream this past week has been about this tournament and I havent lost in any of them. I think it is a sign that mentally im ready as well. When Im running/cuttin weight all I can think about is how much i cant wait to make weight, then I start thinking about everything I need to be doing during my fight and my technique and breathing and controling my adreniline for this tournament. SO yeah...
My team is solid, Im confident we all are gonna do really well. Everyone has stopped drinking for this so we have no toxins in us. Most of us have been doing sports conditioning with Kevin Kasper at Extreme Speed. Its gonna be a blast. Plus the UFC is this weekend in Columbus as well.
Im gonna be getting alot of ink too now... I feel as if I have beat alot of demons, including myself. I know I have beat myself and have disciplined myself a ton. So I feel that I should celebrate this period and embrace it... sort of a permanent reminder!
On a quick side note, I have pulled myself out of the power fight entertainment, MMA match I had signed up for. I am currently dealing with a bit of a tendonitis issue in my right elbow. So after the Arnold Nationals, I will be taking 1-2 weeks off to heal this injury. Leaving me with not enough time to prepare for another fight in the correct manner. So I appologize for this, as I know a few of you had been looking forward to seeing me out in our home town area. BUT, its better this way, then perhaps get injuried seriously, have a terrible fight,. or worse yet.. let you all down. I made a promise to myself that I will only put on good fights for myself and my friends. I wont half ass anything... thats a trait of a loser. Sorry again guys!
Well everyone, this is the last time you all will hear from me in blog form till after my fight. Im hoping that we get a ton of pictures as well as some video footage of this. I cant wait!!!
If all goes well, next time you hear from me I will be the National Champion at my weight class in Muay Thai!
Talk to you soon,
JOE
