So life has been good. Portland has been treating me well. I get to head back to Savannah in a few weeks and spend 2 weeks there with my son. I can't wait. My job is good. I am also starting a new band. My guitar player and I have been trying people out left and right. We don't want to settle this time. We want serious people who want to take this band as far as it will go. I am excited to see what comes of it. I have been meeting so many great people out here and I can finally say for the first time in a long time I feel at home. The city of Portland and surrounding areas are absolutely beautiful. My job is great and I hope to get a second soon. Also my shows have been going really well. People seem to enjoy the grass roots approach. It's nice to be around so many like minded people. Besides all that my son is about to be 5 soon. He is such a bright and beautiful little guy. He is already surfing too. I often miss him since we live in different states, but skyping with him and writing him makes things a little easier. I am so proud of the little dude though. He is so smart and funny. I can't wait to go home and spend an entire two weeks with him. I got so choked up last time I had to leave him. I am sure each time will be harder than the last, but I know I did the right thing moving here. I am starting school soon and I can provide a better life and set a better example for Dylan. Also recently was the one year anniversary of the day I was shot in the knee. It's crazy to think that around this time last year I was bed ridden and terrified to live where I was living. It's scary to think how violent the south is becoming. This trip will also be the first time I set foot in Savannah since I left. I am a little nervous, but I think that I will be ok. They caught the guy who shot me so that makes things a little easier. Anyway I gotta get going but I hope my few friends on here are doing well in life and I miss talking to most of you. With that said if anyone here lives in Portland you should come to my show next Saturday. It should be a blast. Later Folks!
