Tron Love
I love the movie Tron. I love both of them. The original and the sequel. When I saw the first one, I was in my late twenties. I should have seen it when I was a kid. I think the first one was made in 1983, the year I was born.
I saw it with Kevin. He told me it was the reason he wanted to be a program engineer. It made me feel close to him.
I watched it, I fell in love with it and Flynn. I loved his ideals and his enthusiasm. And the lightcycles! I already loved motorcycles, now they were made even better. It was a perfect movie despite its lack of technology. In fact, that was part of why it was so perfect. That was the best they could do in the 80s! That and then Star Wars.
Then they made Tron Legacy! They made Jeff Brides young again! They make RED lightcycles! And me and Kevin saw it together in the theater. It made me feel closer to him again. I sat in silence, in awe. The CGI, the plot, the characters, Flynns son, everything was magical and new, with a dash of the classic.
My love for these movies almost matches my love for Star Wars. Actually, it does. I love Tron just as much as I love the old Star Wars trilogy. I just had to say that.
