you know what? i just completed all the classes for my apprenticeship in carpentry. i just need to put in about 300 more work hours (2 months). then i will be recognized as a journeyman carpenter by the United Brotherhood of Carpenters, and i will be making alot more money.
the money and benefits are good, but the knowledge i've gained is probably the most valuable thing. i know people say that alot, but this is for real. this is carpentry. it's extremely practical and i can use it to save me lots of money throughout my life. learning a trade is one of the best decisions i've ever made. i just wish i started sooner.
i'm still trying to become a tattoo artist and i would love to tattooo full time. but now i will always have something to fall back on.
