Drowning Pool came over here to Iraq to threw us a little concert. I had never been a big fan of Drowning Pool myself, but they put on one good show. I am sure that half of the excitement was just the fact that an actual band came to play for us. Usually the only people that come to play for us are either an almost or a has been. For example, the tenth runner up from the fourth season of American Idol , Jessica Sierra, came to perform for us on the 4th of July. I didn't even know who she was. I looked her name up on the internet and found out she was an almost on American Idol. As in, she almost made it. Then there are the one hit wonders that come to play. But not the one hit wonders that are popular now, the ones that were fifteen years ago. So, it was pretty cool that a popular band actually came to play for us. There were mosh-pits galore. There were at least ten people crowd-surfing at one time the entire show. And I think that we went through a thousand water bottles. Everyone just opened their water bottle and shook the water out into the air. And when there are a few hundred soldiers going crazy because they have not had anything to do for a year, they go all out. This was by far one of the best concerts I have been to. And it was free!!! And I got to meet the band, that was quite amazing. I'd say it was a good way to end a year tour over in Iraq. Its gonna feel good to be back in Germany in a few days. YES!!!
