Woke up this morning. Sleepy dust still in my eyes, but I wiped it clear and got up to make the g/f some breakfast before she headed off to work. A little role reversal for today, but I have all day to sleep if I want it. I have today off from work as well as tomorrow.
Alas, it's my birthday today; and without prompting any well wishes, I've already received some from family and friends. Definitely gives me the warm and fuzzies to get them but if some people don't remember then I certainly wouldn't hold it against them. I asked for no gifts but offered a simple invitation for a few friends to join me this weekend for a small cookout. There should be plenty of drinking and lots of good food (and hopefully quite a bit of camaraderie.)
I'll keep you posted on that day's events.
