my ibook and parts arrived in the mail. im a kid in a candy shop. A very, very expensive candy shop filled with very fragile ming-dynasty candy jars.
ah well, in other acts of recklessness, im booking a trip to see my friends in BC. at last! the left coast! my boss will be a little pissed off that im leaving as things are starting to heat up at work (damn you film industry) but shes a wonderful lady and im sure she will forgive me, especially if i sneak her chocolate when her partner isint looking.
but the whole reason i started this post was because i wanted to vent something.
why dont planes heat up from friction with the atmosphere? speed? air density?
space shuttles do it. rather planes get really cold at high speed. causing condensation trails (does this have anything to do with gas losing heat as it expands?)
is there some magical speed or altitude at which the heat/speed relationship inverts?
WTF?!
i need to know these things!!
i tried throwing this question at work, and i think it caused some annoyance amongst my coworkers.
god bless the internet.
ill say anything when no one is listening
