I avoided going to the bicycle show this weekend, i was terrified that my willpower would fail me and i would buy a new bicycle. So i went and bought a chain scrubber instead. I just spent the evening degreasing and re-lubricating the whole thing. strangely therapeutic to watch that caustic grime slide off the chain. ive still got to fuss the front brake and calibrate the gear shift. Thats the only downside of a brand new bicycle, everything works fine without you.
