I've begun to seriously look at homes in the indianapolis area. I'm liking the Pike and Lawrence Township areas. The homes market in indy has always been amazing, and right now is a buyers market all across the u.s.
I had orginally thought I'd move home, and maybe wait for 6 mos. or a year while I get myelf established. But now is the perfect time to buy and with the elections this fall there is a good chance that the market could go back up by this time next year. besides, who wants to move in the winter?
I go on my terminal leave on May 11, so I'll begin checking out on April 11. So basicly at that point I wont be doing any real work, just going around and checking out with the different departments, a welcome change to the pace of maintenance we've been working at for the past year.
I've been looking forward to this point for the past 5 years. man, for the longest time this all seemed so far in the future, now I'm only a few months from returning home and it doesnt seem real. It feels like someones going to come along and snap me out of it, tell me I'm going on deployment lol.
