I went South for spring break. I notice differences like there are less rules about parking South (park anywhere you want?) and folks drive slow in the left lane of the highways (here, left lane is just passing or driving fast). The area I visited is tall pines with lots of water --- so I felt like I was IN a whole nature scene. Here in the North, I feel like all that nature world is contained! I'm happy to be home! (Last but not least, I just can't fight the drinking South --- I behave myself and keep it to a glass of wine or two, but the alcohol is in-extractable once I get into the Deep South family swirl.)

they even show the same car commercials at different speeds! in the East coast they look like their going 80 miles an hour - in the west the same commercial makes the cars look like they're going 50...

I tell you, I loooove being a Southerner and wouldn't trade it for a thing. I've lived here in North Carolina my whole life and love it. I'm glad you had a fun and safe trip!
